I am almost done with Narbik’s Soup to Nuts workbook and will be moving on to his full lab that was included with the workbook. I am hoping to have that done by next weekend at and then move on again with Internetwork Expert’s Vol II labs. I would like to complete 4-5 of them and then try to get in as much of the 5 day bootcamp COD before I head out to Narbiks camp on November 8th. Soup to Nuts was good to go through to help solidify the basic core technologies. Nothing surprising in the workbook, not much eye opening, but I don’t think that is what it is designed to do :).

This update is a little short, not much time to fit the blogging in right now 🙁

Hey man, looking forward to hearing about your bootcamp experience. Best of luck in your continuing studies.

I am sitting here stalling, trying to motivate myself to get my ass kicked by the multicast config VOD haha

Hey buddy! Good to hear about your plan! Best of lucky!

Quick question! I already own IPX and IE Materials… do you think it´s a good idea and go for Narbik Soup-to-Nuts and Advanced CCIE R&S also?! How would you rate his product ?! I only hear GREAT things about him!

You´re running it on real equipment, dynamips or rack rental!?

    Sorry for so many questions!

    Thanks man!

    Cheers,

I like his workbooks a lot. I think his and the new Internetwork Expert’s workbook one will be on par with each other. One thing his workbooks do very well is break down the topic step by step to give you a greater understanding of the technology.

Would I add it to your arsenal? It can’t hurt that is for sure. After going through IE’s workbooks Soup to Nuts is probably going to be a little lite for you to work with.

I do his labs on real hardware, but I did find a dynamips net file today On Matt Hill’s site. http://www.matthillccie.com/2008/05/11/narbik-dynampis-net/ I actually used it today because you do a ton of reloads with his labs.
